Dhampyr's second full-length record, "White Fire Laudanum," is, as of now, slated for an early February release. The album will primarily serve as an introduction to the Dhampyr project as a "real" entity, a consummate and whole expression of the many ideas I've tinkered with for the last few years. I've investigated many options and formats for this release, and have insofar decided, defecting from my former wishes, to release the album physically, on both CD and tape.
In the meantime, keep those wrists bleeding.

I am currently preparing an album for release in the late Winter of 2011, tentatively titled "White Harvest." This will be my most comprehensive work to date, enveloping and expounding on numerous ideas and sounds earlier heard on demos such as "The Perishing Well" and "To Vanish Into the Earth," among others. I have high expectations for this album, which is pretty fucking surprising when you appreciate the motives behind the compositions - quite comparable, if I may, to the motives one feels as he draws a dilapidated razor to his veins and tarnishes them, pinching the skin together in contraction. Creating folds. Penetrating again.
The album may or may not be released formally, and I may even choose to release and distribute it myself. I have a strong distaste for most labels and their methods, which, at bottom, are commercially-driven and funded by lewd ethics. Here's a preview, perhaps one of the more palatable tracks on the album. Really, one of the only instrumentals I've ever recorded without scoffing.
