The Close-quartered Depression; The Slight Soul-depravity

Any popular treatment of depression suggests a harrowing fatigue of the character, a void mechanism actualized – or, in some cases, a Schopenhauerian lapse into the mental engineering of pessimisms. Truly, it borrows much of its tautological vacuity from the centralized thinking present in the microcosmic branch of diagnostic psychology. The backwater reasoning usually supplied in instances of this haine de soi consists of marginal exercises in petty, half-dollar relationships between individual & individual (if at all the individual is even considered, in cases where the self becomes self-less, the modus operandi of the psychiatrists is to point with singular emphasis at abstractions; aggravated past events, reticent memories, impressions of guilt, etc.), and without any intuitive condemnation of the ostensible factors which so direct the individual into the temptations of loathing.
Simply, the individual is made embittered with himself, in spite of himself, so that his responsibility of recovery is a favor to himself! The problem, and, then, the solution, lies within the gnarled, pitted consensus of the individual; any qualifying introspection into him would provide the tiniest network of reference, but at the great, monstrous peril of indebting his thinking with the obstructions of fantasy remedies and cloak-magic generally inherent in the closeted philosophies of primal witchcraft. Perhaps I’m not being clear – the individual, in his trap of despair, becomes at once a slowly detonating instrument, acerbically confined to his own reflexive means of survival, so that not by personal solution, but by informal irresolution does he reflect that his sickness is even conquerable. And doubtless wears he the mask of shame! Profoundly enough, I resent all descriptions of remedy and corrective method, preferring instead a more holistic, and admittedly heuristic approach:

I urge you all to try this! Look no more to pill bottles and self-help guides; this little bit of snake-oil proves 100% effective!

Warmly,
